Steven Spielberg, the director who shaped how a generation imagined alien contact, is now returning to that territory with a new film titled Disclosure Day. The tagline is “All Will Be Disclosed.” He is not alone. Multiple major filmmakers are rushing UAP themed projects into production simultaneously, sensing that the cultural moment has arrived.
The timing is not accidental. In November 2025, filmmaker Dan Farah’s documentary The Age of Disclosure broke Prime Video’s record for highest grossing documentary VOD release of all time. Two months later Barack Obama said aliens are “real” on a podcast. Two months after that Trump ordered the Pentagon to release UAP files.
What most coverage missed: Farah was a producer on Spielberg’s Ready Player One. The overlap between the documentary world and the Hollywood blockbuster machine is now generating genuine conspiracy theories about whether entertainment and government disclosure are being coordinated. There is no confirmed evidence of that. But the question is no longer coming only from the fringe.
The UAP community has spent decades being dismissed as cultural outsiders. The same stories are now being packaged for nine figure budgets and global distribution deals.
When the entertainment industry starts pricing in disclosure, what does that tell you about what the people writing the checks actually believe?
